I have been really bad at keeping my blog up to date. It is almost craft show season and I have been working day and night getting ready. I have also spent a lot of time sorting though my photographs for my new Etsy shop, Photo Atelier. Here is some of my work...
This is cropped from a photo of a building in a little port town Honfleur in the Normandy region of France. I digitally altered it by adding a layer on top of the photograph. This technique is called Through The View Finder and it is meant to replicate the photography method of taking a picture through the view finder of any camera with another camera. I just love how it adds character, depth and dimension to a photograph.
This photo was taken in the garden of a bed and breakfast that we stayed at in Ticheville, France. This photo was also digitally altered.
I love this shot. I went on a trip of a life time to Paris, France and as an artist and photographer I of course wanted to shoot The Eiffel Tower. Well they must have been working on it because it had green mesh all over the place :(. I was forced to take shots that didn't include the unsightly stuff. To capture this angle I was twisted and half lying on the ground. I then digitally altered it and I am so happy with the outcome.
This is one of my favorite shots. I just love the tension of a bright, modern yellow scooter leaned up against this old stone wall.
This photo was taken on a beautiful November day at Wasaga Beach in Ontario, Canada. It was bright and sunny but the winds were traveling at about 70 km/hr bringing in one of our first winter storms. This photo is mounted on a wooden block which I lightly sanded, stained and sealed with a non toxic sealer. These blocks can be hung on the wall or sit on a shelf or table top.
